There comes a point in every smoker’s life when it is time to quit. It can come at any time this point, often coming more than once. When it does come it fills the smoker with dread, concern, worry and fear. None the less, the point still comes.
And so, once again in my life, the point came. However, this isn’t going to be a blog about quitting smoking. I’m not going to go in-depth into the multitude of great reasons why we should all quit. We all know why we should quit after all, we are smokers, we are not stupid. And although these first few posts will be about smoking, and in particular my smoking and me as a smoker in general this blog is about evolving as a smoker into possibly something else completely different… an ex-smoker.
The thing is, if everyone set off on the same journey I just have then, I really do believe no one will want to smoke and we would really see THE END OF SMOKING!
So, how did this journey of mine begin? It is simple. I got tired of smoking. I got tired of the dirtiness that comes with smoking, the overflowing ashtrays, the holes in the t-shirts, the smoke-fogged rooms, the lingering smell, the NEED to smoke and the desperation of knowing when I would be able to smoke. These elements of smoking are annoying, however, although I get tired of these parts of smoking, there were other parts that I still enjoyed. That first cigarette of the morning, the one at the end of the working day when I got in my car set for the journey home.
The smoke that came with the expensive coffee drunk on a balcony watching the world go by, the feeling of taking the smoke into my lungs (yes, how on earth can that be enjoyable… but it is something only a smoker will know!). Then we have the tools of the trade, the Zippo lighter, the rolling machine, the flavored skins, the tapping of the pack before opening it, the ritual. These things become an enjoyable habit, and to some extent, they define you as a smoker. And as a defined smoker, I enjoyed these things. Cheap Vape Juice
